Christian Chabot cofounded Tableau, a data analytics and visualization company, in 2003.

He and his cofounders raised $15 million in venture capital before taking Tableau public on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2013.

Chabot was CEO of Tableau until 2016 and chairman of the board until 2019.

Salesforce acquired Tableau in 2019 in a $15.7 billion, all-stock deal.
