About Yuri Karptsov

Yuri Karptsov is a cofounder of DNS Retail, Russia's largest chain of consumer electronic products.

Along with Dmitry Alexeyev, a fellow billionaire, Karptsov started with a small store in 1998 in Vladivostok, a port city east of Moscow.

The pair opened its second location in 2005 and have expanded to more than 2,600 stores and 40,000 employees.

The company also has interests in property development and information technology (IT).
