About Yang Qiumei

Yang Qiumei's wealth derives from a stake in Chinese AI giant SenseTime.

She inherited the stake from her late husband Tang Xiao'ou, cofounder of the company who died in 2023 at age 55.

Yang is a managing director and advisor to the CEO at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. She doesn't hold any position at SenseTime.

Prior to joining the Hong Kong bourse, Yang had stints at Investment Company Institute, an industry association of investment funds, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
