About William Teh Lee Pang

William Teh Lee Pang is the son of late banker Teh Hong Piow, who founded Malaysian banking behemoth Public Bank and chaired it for several decades.

Teh Hong Piow founded the bank in 1966. He died in December 2022 at age 92.

n addition to Malaysia, the bank serves millions of customers across Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

The late Teh owned a substantial minority stake in the bank as well as in the listed insurance business, LPI Capital.
