Song Chi-hyung is cofounder and chairman of Dunamu, which operates Upbit, South Korea's largest crypto exchange by daily trading volume.
In November 2025, South Korean search engine behemoth Naver said its payment arm, Naver Financial, will acquire Dunamu in a stock swap that values the combined entity at $13.6 billion.
Dunamu's previous investors include Kakao Ventures, Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm Altos Ventures and Hybe, the agency behind K-pop powerhouse BTS.
Before starting Dunamu with Kim Hyoung-nyon, who is also a billionaire, Song worked at local mobile payment company Danal.
