About Solina Chau

Solina Chau, also known as Chau Hoi Shuen, runs Horizons Ventures, a venture capital firm that backs disruptive tech startups.

It was among the earliest investors in Facebook, Spotify, Zoom and U.S. energy drink maker Celsius Holdings.

Chau cofounded Horizons in 2002 with her longtime business partner, Debbie Chang Pui Vee, who is a cousin of Hong Kong shipping tycoon Tung Chee Hwa.

Chau has amassed a fortune from her stakes such as in Celsius Holdings, Zoom and Canada's Well Health Technologies.

The long-term companion of Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing, Chau invests some of Li's fortune and is a director at his Li Ka Shing Foundation. She also runs her own H.S. Chau Foundation.
