Semahat Sevim Arsel is an heir to the Koc family fortune. She's the oldest member of the clan and the largest shareholder in its main holding company.

Semahat Arsel serves on the board of Koc Holding and is chairman of its tourism company, Setur. Her husband, Dr. Nusret Arsel, died in 2014 at age 92.
