About Philip Day

One of Britain's wealthiest high street fashion moguls, Philip Day owns Edinburgh Woollen Mill and several other UK fashion brands.

He decided to skip college in order to start working for a British clothing manufacturer and joined Edinburgh Woolen Mill in 2001.

A year later he bought the company outright; it was barely turning a profit.

Day turned it around, acquired other struggling retailers and expanded the company to greater heights.

In 2012 he bought Peacocks, one of the UK's largest fashion retailers, and has worked diligently to revamp its business.
