About Pawan Munjal

Pawan Munjal is the chairman and managing director of Hero MotoCorp,the world's largest producer of two-wheelers by volume having sold more than 110 million units to date.

He inherited a stake in the Hero group after his father Brijmohan Lall Munjal, who cofounded the enterprise with his brothers, died in 2015 at age 92.

A former partner of Honda, Hero MotoCorp parted ways with the Japanese company in 2011. Since then Pawan has led a global expansion with factories in Colombia and Bangladesh.

The group's renewable energy arm, Hero Future Energies, along with U.S. private equity firm KKR, is investing $450 million in expanding capacity.
