Overdeck and David Siegel, also a billionaire, transitioned from co-CEOs to co-chairmen of the firm in 2024, but Overdeck returned to its management committee in 2025.

Overdeck has given over $450 million through his family's charitable foundation, which supports education, and he chairs Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study.

Overdeck was a math prodigy who won a silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad at age 16.
