Jack Clark is cofounder and head of policy at Anthropic, which builds large-scale artificial intelligence systems.

He cofounded Anthropic in 2021 with six ex-OpenAI researchers.

Anthropic, which private investors valued at $380 billion in February 2026, has partnerships with Google's parent company Alphabet and Amazon.

Clark previously worked as a technology journalist at Bloomberg, before leaving for OpenAI in 2016.

He writes a newsletter about AI research called Import AI. It has more than 69,000 subscribers.
