Georgios Peristeris is the chairman and CEO of GEK TERNA, an Athens. Greece-based conglomerate with operations in infrastructure, energy and construction.

Peristeris started working at TERNA in 1981 as a construction manager. He took over the top job in 1984 and took the company public on the Athens Stock Exchange in 1994.

In 1999, he merged TERNA with Athens-based GEK, combining two of the country's biggest construction companies.

Peristeris founded Terna Energy in 1997 as a subsidiary of the group and sold it to UAE-based Masdar for more than $2 billion in 2025.
