About Feridun Gecgel

Feridun Gecgel chairs Astor Enerji, Turkey's largest manufacturer of transformers and switching products.

He owns nearly 80% of the company, which went public in Istanbul in 2023.

Gecgel started his first business in furniture production. In 2005, he entered the transformer industry by purchasing Astor, which he bought for $3 million 20 years ago.

He was born in Şanlıurfa in 1970 and after graduating high school, became an entrepreneur, starting at Özgüney Elektrik, where he established his own company, specializing in the sale of electrical and electronic materials.
