About Elie Horn
Elie Horn moved to Brazil from Syria at the age of 11. He and his two brothers started a low-money down real estate investing business when he was 19.
In 1978, Horn ventured out on his own, and founded Cyrela, now one of Brazil's largest residential developers.
Horn also owns shares in listed Cyrela Commercial Properties, which acquires, develops and rents shopping centers and corporate buildings in Brazil.
In 2014, Horn announced he would step down as CEO of Cyrela. His two sons, Raphael and Efraim Horn, became co-CEOs. Elie Horn remains on the board.
