Denis Frolov derives his fortune from the Astra Group, a Moscow-listed software company, which went public in 2023 and raised $36 million.

With its Astra Linux software, an operating system, Astra provides software solutions to the Russian government and state-owned companies.

Astra's business has grown following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, providing much-needed digital infrastructure to its government, which was barred from Western technology.

Frolov also has a stake in Sistematika, a Russian IT company with1,500 employees; the company makes up a small part of his wealth.

He is a former executive of Wimm-Bill-Dann, a European dairy producer, which was acquired by PepsiCo in 2010, and has substantial dairy interests in Russia.
