David Blitzer runs the tactical opportunities group at alternative investment giant Blackstone.

In 2011, he joined forces with Apollo Global's Joshua Harris to buy the Philadelphia 76ers. They later added the New Jersey Devils and English soccer club Crystal Palace to their holdings.

Blitzer also owns a stake in MLB's Cleveland Guardians, and he co-owns MLS's Real Salt Lake alongside Qualtrics cofounder Ryan Smith.

Blitzer joined Harris' ownership group that purchased the Washington Commanders for $6.05 billion in 2023.
