About Dario Amodei

Dario Amodei is cofounder and CEO of Anthropic, which builds large-scale artificial intelligence systems.

He cofounded Anthropic in 2021 with six other former OpenAI employees, including his sister Daniela Amodei, who is president.

Anthropic, which private investors valued at $380 billion in February 2026, has partnerships with Google's parent company Alphabet and Amazon.

Amodei previously served as vice president of research at OpenAI, where he co-invented reinforcement learning from human feedback.

Amodei has a PhD in biophysics from Princeton University.
