About Daniela Amodei

Daniela Amodei is cofounder and president of Anthropic, which builds large-scale artificial intelligence systems.

She cofounded Anthropic in 2021 with six other former OpenAI employees, including her brother Dario Amodei, who is CEO.

Anthropic, which private investors valued at $965 billion in May 2026, has partnerships with Google's parent company Alphabet and Amazon.

Amodei worked at OpenAI for about three years as an engineering manager and vice president.

Amodei studied English literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz, then joined fintech unicorn Stripe in 2013 as a founding recruiter.
