Andre Street is a cofunder of StoneCo, a Brazilian cloud-based online payment processor that raised $1.5 billion in its 2018 IPO.

StoneCo, which listed its shares in the U.S. on Nasdaq, primarily enables small and medium-sized businesses to take online and mobile payments.

Street worked at several Brazilian tech companies prior to cofounding StoneCo in 2012 with fellow billionaire Eduardo de Pontes.

Street, who owns about 10% of StoneCo, is the chairman of the company's board.

The company is now among the favorite of investors eyeing Brazil's growing electronic payments market.
